Claude Code's auto mode becomes the default for Pro, Max, and Team on Aug 14
Starting August 14, Claude Code will run in auto mode by default for Pro, Max, and Team plans, replacing repeated permission prompts with a classifier that flags irreversible, destructive, or out-of-bounds actions instead. Anthropic says testing with 1,053 paid users found the classifier caught 89% of dangerous commands versus 13.6% for manual human review.
